Michael F. Gagnon II, Scholarship Information
Our committee which includes, TriCircle Inc., The Southington STEPS Coalition and the Gagnon Family, is seeking to identify high school seniors who reside in Southington, CT who are committed to further their collegiate studies in the following concentrations:
Public Health, Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Law Enforcement
We have designated three (3) $1,000 scholarships to be awarded in 2018.
Applicants must clearly identify how a substance use disorder has directly or indirectly affected their life. We would like you to use this platform as an opportunity to express in your own words how we can change the way people see the disease of addiction and eliminate the stigma.
- Two typed letters of reference from two separate people, mentor or friend that knows you well and can detail why you deserve consideration for this scholarship. Each letter should be at least 250 words each.
- Typed essay referring to explained applicant criteria above. This essay should be a minimum of 500 words and no more than 2500 words.
- Signed and dated release document

The Michael F. Gagnon II Scholarship must be used to defray the expenses of tuition, fees, books, room and board, computers, and/or other applicable college-related costs from an accredited institution of higher learning that the student has been accepted to.
